When Arlene Cronk of "Marketing to the High End Bride" called and asked me to appear at her panel breakfast meeting to discuss my experience working within the television industry, specifically on the newest reality show from the CW, "Hitched or Ditched", I was thrilled and flattered.
I was really excited to have the opportunity to show off my work to this most prestigious and influential group of wedding professionals and friends. Bonus, I love the opportunity to dish inside scoop from the world of Hollywood weddings.
I was also flattered when I was asked to bring in some style to the event with linens and flowers. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and hoped that the seasoned critics that would be in attendance would like my work.
Given that it was a Hollywood themed event, and my company, chad michael peters, was a showcase at the event, I wanted to come up with something that was new and fashionable but at the same time payed attention to the modern chic vibe of the Fairmont Battery Wharf.
I chose dupioni silk in a morning dove grey done in an elegant pin tuck. The flowers were arranged in modern stainless containers and were displayed on custom glass stands trimmed with chic, black and white ribbon and trim.
I loved the opportunity to sit on the discussion panel along side of Nick Paleologos Executive Director Massachusetts Film Office, Lauren Killian of Person and Killian Photography, Jodi Purdy-Quinlan Casting Director, Greg Hodges DJ, Arlene Cronk Owner of Invitations & Company, Chuck Slavin Actor/Filmmaker & Cheryl Eagan-Donovan President Women in Film & Video New England. I am pictured above caught in the middle of telling one of my stories.
I had the best time sitting with the honchos from Winston's, who are not only incredibly talented but are nice and hysterically funny. I hope to grab a seat with them at the next event to pick up where we left off.
Many thanks to Miller Photography Studio for the photography from the event, to my company Chad Michael Peters for donating the gorgeous flowers and to Rentals Unlimited for their generous donation of linens.
I hope to see you all at the next marketing event this fall. For more information on Marketing to the high end bride and the complete photo show from this event please visit www.weddingprof.com
